My Ink

My Ink

A Poem by Catlen

Spoken words don't count.

It's what my ink instills

on paper that matters.

When I pick up my pen

and engrave my thoughts

on your little minds.

That's when colours, pictures,

words, love, life

blend into a being,

made perfect by my ink.

Thank you :)))))
Smiling… love your thought in this piece.. So many use photos and videos to embellish their poems..I am a purist in that sense.. let the creativity of the poet shine like this poem…

Great poem! I've always contended that what I say with my words spoken aloud does not match what I say with my words written on paper because one is released into the atmosphere and gone forever whereas the other is recorded and guarded forever either in written form. And doesn't that make what I say more perfect, as your poem states? Thanks for sharing!

An antonym of writer's block, I love this. Showing your confidence in your writing is exuded. I enjoyed this 10 line poem. The last line sums it up.

Thank you for reading it! :)))
I like both written and verbal poetry. We need both. I'm old school. I like books that I can touch and read at my convenience. I agree words on paper are the key. Thank you for the amazing poetry.

Always love a poem about poetry, your ink wrote it aptly. Engraved thoughts are so compelling.
