STOP!

STOP!

A Poem by Catherine

A moment to silence all creations brought to light

A blistering renewal of the first thought to mind

And here it is said in this hypocrisy I stand

Waiting and wanting all no more than a hand

Pixtires and fixations, all staring at me straight

A little?  So little I held to help me wait.

The falling, the fallen... the upright and the drowned

With pictures of poetry, only in our eyes are found.

NOW SILENCE

Only with his presence will this mystery unfold

And bottle tops and sunset flip-flops, streams of glee are phony

The sadness I am holding in is caused by everything and only...

ONE THING...

sets us apart from all the changes, rearranges, and misguided strangers...

And it is HEART, with all the sadness in the streets and all the danger

Fear not for it will change us...fight the changes and the anger

Hear the screams across the way and hold me stranger!

In all this world we are surrounded, all of you are yelling cries

Tears of hatred and insanity come streaming out your eyes

And in some truth, this truth is here... inside all you hear in my cries

NOW STOP

And hear the screams, and hold a stranger, and fight...fight the lies.

Again, fantastic imagery woven into a cryptic scene. This one, I think, is served by it's ambiguity more than "I Love to Self." You have a very clear voice and style and the uncertainly you've woven here is very haunting. The line "I have yet to meet the standards I am told" seemed forced and didn't contribute very much to the piece as a whole and masked the exellent imagery of the next 3 lines. I might suggest cutting it out and seeing how it sounds with out it. Very much enjoyed reading both of these! Looking forward to more!
