"

To sit, to hold, to want.

To never letting go.

To seconds, to minutes passing by,

and still to know-

This rapid beat-I stand beside myself

This flesh is charming.

The skin is new, these palm prints clean

And still the pain is forming.

But echoes of the past-behold!

Be still!  My trembling hands unfold-

To love...

To love is "from afar but still as close".

To holding tears inside

until they've froze.

But LOVE! oh, this love gives way

To tiny pitter-patters all the day.

And at the sinking of the moon

I still can say,

that "to truly love...

is to love when he's away."
