Out of the Cradle, Into the Pain

Out of the Cradle, Into the Pain

A Poem by Cassie Black
"

The moment we are born we are exposed to the horrors of the world we have created

"
Baby blue eyes
 instinctive and clean
Of all the world's cries
That will be or has been

Each new inch grown
As teeth will fall
 Unknown sorrows sown
In the place we crawl

Society shapes us
away from virgin veils
Hands a world of fuss
Covered in cracks and nails

Fallen into the trap
Its inevitable toss up
Of being alone
Or surrounded by gossip

We hurt, we cry
We cheat, we steal
We succeed with lie
Small extends we feel

The gifts we've battered
Were ours to mould
Our innocence shattered
But who is to scould?

Thank you so much! Glad you liked it
dhia guit

nice job here, miss. there's a quaintness about an a-b rhyming scheme that is contrasted by the thoughts conveyed, kinda dark, kinda matter of fact.

good stuff
