Expectations

Expectations

A Poem by Cassie Black
"

How you expect your love to be vs how they are

"
Being with you isn't easy
They say it's supposed to be
As in those movies- cheesy
Far from you and me

There's days when I'm lonely
I want you with me all day.
Other times I do it knowingly,
Pushing you purposely away.

Truthfully you drive me insane
With your constant attention needs
Leave me for five minutes- pain
Without you, my heart bleeds.

You're nothing I thought you'd be
What I want - not a thing
My world has changed around me
You've become my everything.

An interesting and truthful look at the contradictive behaviour in relationships, where we realize ourselves and how we change. Great job.
