What if?

What if?

A Poem by Cathexis
"

This is my first poem I've written after being hit by a car and dealing with life after having received a brain injury from it

"
One thought can bring you to your knees
One thought can change how you look at everything
And this one thought is
"what if"
One thought, one statement it doesn't matter what you call it
You can't ever live via a falsehood
Cause what if has far reaching consequences
And there's no point having those thoughts
Because whether the choice is yours or not
You here now
And it's your choice how you make up the future moments you have
And trying to live by what if
Is no life at all
Instead, however, learn to accept past choices
Whether they're yours or someone else's
Mistakes or successes
What if isn't going to help anyone or anything
