Stop Running

Stop Running

A Poem by Cathexis
"

Evolution of thoughts and finding one's place

"
Love for myself
twisted in all its fear.
Love from another
something I may never bear.
Chains of the past
burden this desolate soul.
A stronghold of defenses
from life, take its toll.
Bringing meaning to desolation,
the cold vision of 'Light'
Born without place or measure,
the warmth of darkness holds tight
Driven to be alone,
master of this chaotic storm.
A reality of contradiction,
true strength found in this form
Hate, love, madness.
Emotions of one's coalescence.
Forged in the midnight pitch
disciplined in my quintessence

I love your word choices. It makes for a rich, vibrant poem and pulls everything together neatly, leaving no room in my room to picture anything but what you're trying to say.

Aahhhh....beautifully expressed, this obsession we have with running. I have been running for a few decades now, and only now, decided to stop for a while.........life is beautiful when we stop to see and not chase rainbows........
