Foundations made anew

Foundations made anew

A Poem by Cathexis
"

Make of it what you will

"
Forged in tribulation,
an unforgettable experience,
fallen to unimaginable depths,
shine of life now smeared away
Dreams now shattered,
remade with a part missing,
never to be found again.
Life still there to be lived
5 years on, fighting back,
to obtain my life again.
Acceptance for a price,
a price worth paying.
Remade anew,
on foundations of strife.
This life is mine
and mine to enjoy.
Wisdom of my life
and experience of death,
to guide others that stray.
Now a gift to give

So many feelings here, last line first stanza is deeply sad, the word smeared just hurts and has so much more weight here than it usually would. This poem is a trip, takes you right the way though. Shows real strength
