To the troops

To the troops

A Poem by S.J.Moore
"

I wrote this at the beginning of this war. Tell me what you think.

"

Blood Scattered
Innocents killed
Going off to fight
Saying im the cause

Pure blood scattered
Kids play no more
Crying, killing, death
All this war to corrupt minds

Puppets going off to war
Killing someone's family
The puppets coming back to loved ones in caskets
Shells put through their heads

A mother will never see her son smile again
A wife will never kiss his lips for one last time
A son will never know his father
A father will never forget his son
A sister will never forget his last words to her
And a brother will never forget the advice his brother told

Do we want this for our families?
Do they want this for theirs?
Killed innocent bodies lying lifeless on the floor
How can a man kill another man?

Were we all not created by the same god?
Are we all not on the same earth?
Do we all not bleed the same color blood?
Do we all not face problems day by day?

Is it really for their own good?
Is it really for their sake?
Our we not the selfish ones inflicting hate?
Our we not the ones who sleep at night after killing another person?

I ask you a few questions
Just a few more questions
Just a few more things to finish off with

WHY ALL THE HATE???
ARENT WE THE ONES WHO WANT OUR CHILDREN TO LIVE IN A BETTER PLACE???
WHAT KIND OF EXAMPLE ARE WE SETTING???
"KIDS ITS OKAY TO NOT HAVE COMPASSION AND PEOPLE OF A DIFFRENT RACE"

The end is coming.
Pray to god for forgiveness
Pray to god to save your soul
For killing someone special
That someone else will never know.
