A Chapter by S.J.Moore

I woke up the next morning feeling exhausted and I just laid there thinking and wondering if I remembered everything right. When Byron walked in I knew exactly what happened and how it wasn't a dream.

"You made breakfast?" I said staring at Byron who never wanted to cook and only believed in take out unless someone else was cooking.

"Yes of course I did." He stared at me trying to look innocent and we both started laughing. "Okay so I went and got some take out so what?" He said.

"Nothing, so what's on the menu cheffy?" I said wondering what he could have picked up.

"Well depends on what you're in the mood for… I have doughnuts, pancakes, croissants, and bagels. So what are you in the mood for?" He said sitting on my bed.

"I want the doughnuts!" He knew my weakness,  I was a chocolate doughnut fiend.

"Fine take the doughnut and I'll take the pancakes and we can sit here and talk about what happened last night or if you want we could go to the table your choice." Byron said in that serious voice that I couldn't stand to deal with. The voice meant he was determined and there was no going around it. The few times he was stubborn.

We got up and went to the table and talked for about two hours. He told me that he wanted that to be the last time he saw Jacob and that he just wanted what was best for me because he had seen my heart broken so many times before. I just sat there staring at him knowing I had no argument. He told me about how he hated the fact that I would find a guy who would seem nice at first and then when they started taking advantage of me and I just stayed waiting for a change. When he finished this he said that later we should meet for lunch and that he was off for school.

I looked at the clock it was one o'clock and I had nothing to do through out the day so I just cuddled up with a book on the couch and after about an hour I fell asleep. I woke up because Byron slammed the door. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and stared at him waiting for an explanation for that out burst.

"You know Cat, the gay population in this town is made up of idiots and ugly stuck ups!" He screamed.

I kept staring waiting for the rest of the story as he went and opened up our refrigerator and got out a soda and then started to walk back to me so that he could tell me what happened.

"Okay so here I am at school and this cute guy sits next to me and I smile at him and we start talking and he starts acting like an idiot and says 'you know what I'm sorry but I have a boy friend' and walks away. I wasn't even trying anything yet!" He said and laughed aggravated.

"Babe you're too good for these boys that think they are too good! Look at you, you're hot! And smart! And you're sweet when you want to be! That I think is too good for these little twits." I said stroking his hair out of the way.

"Thanks Cat but I have one question… Shouldn't you be getting ready for your date?" He said and turned to the clock.

I guess I had slept way to much because it was five-thirty and Sean was going to pick me up in an hour and thirty and that was barley enough time for me to do anything.

"Your right Byron, S**t I have to go and take a shower!" I said and jumped up and went straight to the shower.

I got out and started getting ready I was ready at seven o'five and he still wasn't here. I started to walk out of my room to wait in the living room.

"Byron what the hell is going on? Didn't he want to go out with me?" I yelled from across the room and as I got into the living room I saw him and stopped dead in my tracks as him and Byron stared at me.

"Oh F**k!" I said blushing and looking around embarrassed as hell.

He stared at me with the biggest smile on his face looking cocky and so happy at the same time.

"Cat did I forget to tell you Sean was here ten minutes ago?" Byron said with a grin because he lived for this stuff.

"Yeah By you did." I said looking down knowing that I had dug myself the grave and now I had to lie in it.

Sean looked at Byron and said "Well I never knew a lovely girl would ever be anxious over someone like me." They laughed at Byron started walking away. I was so nervous I just suggested that we leave and that's what we did. On our way out of apartment building he held my hand and we walked to his car.

He drove us down to the beach and set up was a bond fire and a little picnic. I was in shock that someone of his status constantly on tour having girls throw themselves at him constantly would go through so much trouble for a girl like me. He smiled at me and we walked to the picnic and I sat down and we watched the sun begin to set as we ate.

"So, I know this is up front but what made you ask me out and go through all of this trouble with me?" I asked knowing I shouldn't but I had to I mean I didn't want to get involved with someone who just wanted an one night stand and I mean okay he probably wouldn't tell me the trust but I wanted the comfort.

"Look Catherine, I have had a fair share of girls through themselves at me and so on but Catherine your different or you look it at least love, I mean your eyes they show who you really are and I like what I see Catherine I really do." He said staring into my eyes. I swear he looked into my soul and made me melt again.

He leaned over and kissed me softly I could taste him again. His warm lips pressed against mine, his arms started to wrap against my waist, we started to lay back. We laid there in each others embrace for a while and then he got me up and said that it was time for our next activity.

"Okay love, what do you want to do?" he said looking at me curiously as if whatever I chose would show some big insight into my mind and who I am. It was around eight-thirty and the only place that I knew that was open for sure was this karaoke place and an arcade. Jiminy Cricket was the name of the karaoke place and I decided that I'd let him find out that I was a regular on our second date if there was one, so I took him to the arcade.

I grabbed him by the hand the same way that he did when we were going to take the picture and led him to the arcade. We stood at the entrance and he looked up at the sign and laughed to himself.

"Damn and I was hoping you would lead me to Jiminy Cricket's, Well I guess I'm just going to have to beat you at Marvel vs. Capcom huh?" He said and smiled.

"You couldn't beat me at that even if you tried, and I thought that we might wait for karaoke for lets say maybe our second date?" I said in a sarcastic, condescending tone that caught him by surprise.

"So you want a second date huh?" He said grinning at the fact that he had out smarting me again.

"Well you admit that I'm going to beat you huh?" I said knowing that he hadn't seen that one coming.

"We'll see huh Catherine?" He said smiling as he started to walk in.

"Okay." I said and walked in. He got our tokens and we started playing fighting games. He was pretty good but I won most of the games. I think he let me win but it didn't matter we were having a blast, laughing, fighting, and joking with each other. We left around eleven when the arcade closes.

"Catherine I have to say love that, THAT was the most fun I had ever had on a date." He said holding my hand as we walked back to his car.

"You can call me Cat… if you want. And yeah that was really fun, the most fun that I've had in a while." I said flushed from the cold breeze that had picked up and the fact that he was holding my hand. I felt like a little girl holding Sean's hand, I mean he was handsome, sweet and had the cutest accent anyone could ever dream of, his smile made my knees weak and here I was with him having the most fun that I had, had since I could remember.

"Okay Cat it is then." He said and we strayed a little from the car and walked along the pier in the breezy night, our hair in the wind, holding hands, and just talking, an honest conversation and I know it sounds stupid but I believed everything that came out of his mouth. His brown eyes were so sincere when he spoke to me that I just couldn't help believing his every word. Okay well not every word, he did joke.

We walked along for an hour and then we decided that he should drive me home. The ride back was kind of silent and awkward, until he started talking about how he had spotted me when he was on stage and he had hoped that I would go to the meet and greet. When I did he was excited because there was just something about me "besides your rack, which if I may be a guy and say, is very nice." I blushed and looked down.

"You're charming you know that." I said in the most sarcastic tone that I could muster through the smile that had formed on my face.

"Well I am a guy and when you wear a low cut shirt, and bounce around in it, we take notice. The entire band noticed you." He said with a smile on his face turning to me. "I guess I'm lucky that I got to go out with you huh?" He said again this time turning to look at my answer.

"Yeah I guess you really are." I said facing him and we started laughing as he reached over for my hand.

We got to the building and he walked me up to the apartment door.

"I hope you don't think that I'm going to be this big one night stand." I said.

He kissed me and said "I wouldn't dream of it. I was out of breath and at a loss for words.

"Do you want to come in and hang out or something?" I asked my head all foggy and in a daze the way he always left me when we kissed.

I opened the door and we found Byron and a date making out on the couch with their shirts off and what looked like about to do something else.

"Oh… My… God… BYRON!" I said laughing at catching him fooling around with his date.

"Oh… S**t… Cat, umm… this is my date Troy, who as you just saw was about to be my toy." He said laughing and grabbing Troy by the hand and leading him to his room.

"Cat next time answer your phone that way I won't suppose your getting some and not coming home. Oh hi Sean." He said and at that he closed his door and started blasting music.

I turned around almost forgetting that Sean was with me. He was standing there on the border of laughing. When our eyes met we burst out laughing and I took him to my room. We talked for a while and started to kiss. His slender body pressed against mine. I slipped my hands under his shirt and pulled it off.

We laid there kissing passionately. Just as his hand began sliding off my shirt we heard the music turn off and Byron talking to Troy.

We started laughing again and the mood was killed. We laid next to each other and around three we fell asleep together or more like he fell asleep and then about an hour later I did. I was facing him and I just couldn't believe that this was happening.

I stared at him; he looked so peaceful and calm. He had his arm wrapped around my waist and he was so warm and so gorgeous looking, with his dirty blonde hair in his face he looked like a model from a magazine ad.

When we woke up the next morning he took me out to breakfast. We talked and just had a great time I mean we were compatible in every way that you could think about it.

"Cat, I want to know where you think this is going." He said gazing into my eyes.

"What do you mean Sean?" I said, thinking of what my answer would be.

"You know do you think that this is going anywhere because I like you Cat, In fact love, I like you a lot. And I just wanted to know if you thought it was too." He said looking unsure of himself again.

"I like you too and I'm so glad you said that because I mean I didn't want you to think that I was clingy if I said that I liked you." I said noticing that I was starting to ramble.

"Okay well I'm really glad Cat, I mean I really, really am." He said and he leaned in for a kiss.

We finished breakfast and he dropped me off at home and kissed me goodbye and when I came in there he was again.

"Jacob! What are you doing here? How did you get in? And get the f**k out!" I said.

"Listen Cat I want to explain. But before you forget you gave me a key when you moved in here." He said trying to plead with me.

"Look I don't care just get out." I said. I was tired of him, I had just had the greatest time with Sean and I didn't want to deal with Jacob, not now and not ever!
