The Cry

The Cry

A Poem by S.J.Moore
"

An ex boy friend of mine was suicidal one night. He turned to me for help. I didn't know what to say. I didn't know what to do. It blew over after a few hours, but I was so scared and I didn't know what else to do I love this guy. So I did this for him...

"

The cry

He is at his whits end.
He doesn’t want to continue with the sharade.
The face of shame and scorn has taken over.
Covered by his facad and not letting help in.
He turned to me and left me speachless.
The depth of his soul haunts me.
His threats haunt me to.
His lonely existence consumes all else.
He can no longer feel happiness.
All he can feel is darkness.
It comsumes all else.
The numb feeling is taking over.
He walks through life as though he is already dead.
No one knows.
No one understand the severity of this.
No one ever will.
He wants to go away.
He wants to be lost.
He wants so much.
He wishes he could care.
He doesn’t understand what he wants to throw away.
He just understands his pain.
But pain is his sign of weakness.
He doesn’t want to express it.
He doesn’t want to experience it.
He just wants it to come to an end.
His life being constant ups and downs.
His life seeming like nothing, worth nothing.
He doesn’t know how much she cares.
He doesn’t know how scared she felt.
He doesn’t know how the threat is still hanging on her head.
How sad.
Lets not end in tragedy.

I am so glad that you wrote this for him, letting you know that you care. I hopw that he realizes that people love him and he hopefully will not commit suicide.
