Regret

Regret

A Poem by Cat
"

A song dedicated to my Nana

"

You were there my whole life,
Now you're not.
It's not right being here
Without you.

I feel like I need you,
My guardian.
Walking here beside me,
Guiding me.

At first I couldn't sleep,
Tossing and turning.
What did I say?
Was it cruel?
I'm sorry now you're gone,
And I miss you oh so much.
But now I'm glad we made it
For so long.

We never said the things
We should have.
We never really talked
Like we could have.

You spent all your time
With him then,
But now spend some more
With me.

At first I couldn't sleep,
Tossing and turning.
What did I say?
Was it cruel?
I'm sorry now you're gone,
And I miss you oh so much.
But now I'm glad we made it
For so long.

I know you had to go,
it was your time.
I'm glad we got to talk
through silence.
Now please be mine.

At first I couldn't sleep,
Tossing and turning.
What did I say?
Was it cruel?
I'm sorry now you're gone,
And I miss you oh so much.
But now I'm glad we made it
For so long.

But now I'm glad we made it
For so long.
But now I'm glad we made it
For so long.

I am not an emo. From my writing people think I am, but I'm not. When I'm not at school (Just finishing year 11), I'm writing, singing or playing the guitar. Writing and music are my passions. I .. more..
