Blue Waves Meet Coffee Eyes

Blue Waves Meet Coffee Eyes

A Poem by Caitlin Rhea

I've memorized the way you breathe,
My dear, I've never seen something so precious
The way you murmur in your sleep,
Grip my waist, pulling me closer

I seem not to be able to sleep,
Without your soft breathing on the back of my neck
Trying not to seem to sentimental,
I never tell you these things

As i watch you when you listen to music,
I can see the passion in your eyes
How  you talk about your future,
I want to be apart of these big plans

No one has ever gave me a chance,
To be more than my doubts
My life has always circled around imperfections,
I want this, us, our imperfections

Never have I wanted something so much,
Like I want to hold your hand until my last breath
I may seem cliche,
But, I have never been this infatuated with someone as I, you

As my blue waves, meet your coffee eyes,
I'll always remember your voice
Slowly but surely, you'll become a bigger part of my life,
As I unconditionally let myself fall for you
