Big Bang

Big Bang

A Poem by Caitlin Rhea

The nervous ticks of the clock,
Shaking of the universe.
No one has figured out if there's another like this one,
Spinning of the worlds, so symmetrical.
Is it so scary, to think about the ending of another universe,
Was the first chapter of ours?
That you're made out of someones ashes,
The smell of your favorite flower, is from the tears of sad star somewhere?
My parents never taught me any of this,
A lonesome soul, searches for the cruelest things in the world.
People find it weird, they have their "god",
They don't have time for my "fantasies" of other universes.
Have you ever wandered,
If there's another world, and you'll never love cause your soulmate is in a whole other galaxy?
Everyone has stared at the stars at night,
Wandering if there's another life sailing the seas of the stars.
Humanity is so small minded,
Some of us want to know, how the universe works.
