These Wounds You Dig

These Wounds You Dig

A Poem by Caitlin Rhea

You tell me,
Wait for your heart to heal.
What about me,
Am I not enough?

You say you love her,
What about us?
Is this love not enough,
To heal the wounds she done.

Say you want something,
A life with me.
I won't wait forever,
You're my weakness.

Sing to me,
Hold me close.
But still,
I don't heal the wounds.

Have a look at my heart,
What can you see?
Just the wounds of words,
Take a look lover, these scars you dig into my heart.
