Too Weak

Too Weak

A Poem by Caitlin Rhea

"I want you to look at your skin"
He whispered.
But, she couldn't.
It was such a horrific site to see.

"You'll never get through life,
If all you see if your flaws.
Look at your eyes,
The most beautiful blue I've ever seen".

His words taunt,
maybe he is right.
Than again
Men have always lied to her.

She'll put on her usual clothing,
Covering her cuts, burns, and bruises.
Her small frame,
Hung with baggy clothing.

He's still not here,
She'll sigh and go take out her razor.
After she's finished,
She'll go see where he is.

Once she gets to his house,
The car is parked in the driveway.
At the door there's no answer,
She'll walk inside, and go upstairs.

As she opens the bathroom door,
She see's his body, limp and pale.
Note in hand,
"I told you, you were perfect, you said I was your only one,I'm sorry, I was too weak for you"

Tell me what you think? I've had a lot of "me" time. And, this is what comes up when I'm sad and want to cuddle.
