The SignsA Poem by Caitlin RheaTo be used, or not, everyone knows what it's like to be broken, and lost.Tell me, I am not the girl you desire. I'm not pretty enough, Not skinny enough, The curves, and curses of my body. Lips synced with mine, Still,We're so close but you're not saying anything. About the way I can move, Move between broken, and acting. Not enough for you. Don't tell me, You can't stay, she's waiting for you. How could I turn into this, This, monster. I swore I would never become. You tell me, One day, you'll leave her. I don't want that though, Knowing the heartbreak. That I go through each time you leave me for her. Everything has fallen apart, You can't see, the infinite lines. These immaculate bodies you bring, Promising something more to come. I'll yell and scream, Hoping you'll understand. Yet, you still ignore my pleads, A plead to be free from this breaking leash. No one can understand us. A promise to another girl, Say she's nothing. A lie, a lie, That's all you can keep. All you can speak, With your mouth sown shut. i'll leave you, Pleading for your life. "You never seen the signs" I'll murmur in the air.
