She never took heed.

An interesting portrait of a person dealing with the pain of ostracism. Actually, the young lady seems to have strong self esteem, because although the slurs may hurt, she does not let them overwhelm her. She comes across as someone who will persevere despite the negatives the world sometimes presents. Good for her.
