![]() No Longer LoversA Poem by Lupin![]() a poem about so-called "soulmates" who were in love, but only fell apart.![]() You told me you wouldn’t be like all of the rest But then you still went and ripped my heart right out of my chest You broke my heart I guess we did end up falling apart. We are no longer lovers We don’t even talk with all the others We never talk Maybe that’s for the best But why did you rip my heart out of my chest? You broke my heart I guess we did just fall apart They said “it won’t last” I guess I should’ve believed what was said in the past. We are no longer lovers We don’t even talk with all of the others We never talk Maybe that’s for the best But why did you rip my heart right out of my chest? You definitely proved me wrong To be honest I should’ve known we wouldn’t last long. But right now, I’m finally at my best. You broke my heart We fell apart You believed that stupid lie And now I lay here and cry. We are no longer lovers We don’t even talk with all of the others We never talk Maybe that’s for the best But why did you rip my heart right out of my chest? © 2022 LupinAuthor's Note
