You are always on my mind.

You are always on my mind.

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Love may be gone. The tattoos of love will always be with us

"

You will always be on my mind

The splendor of true love,
Where you allow the wall of fear to fall completely down.
Allowing emotion and desire to take two people away to finding the real
pleasures learn by the burning candles and sweet red wine.

We touched our wine glasses.
Held our kisses deep and long.
The locked door leaving us protected and safe.
In a dreamer's paradise.

The coldness of Winter brought her to me.
She wanted someone to read poetry to her and keep her warm.
I wanted someone to give me hope and strength.

I remembered she came to me late in the evening.
Holding wine coolers and desired conversation.
Dressed like a woman and
the innocence of a child wanting me to open my door for her.

I saw a devil dressed in a sexy black dress with a hunger that
I could not control.
I watch her take off her coat. Allowing my eyes to see her beautiful
young body. The short skirt allowed me the pleasure of seeing her long legs.
I told her. "Sometime better not to start something we cannot stop. "

She came to me. She went to her knees. Laid her long red hair across my lap.
Raised her face to me. I looked into clear blue eyes and lost control.
She was just a baby. Nineteen and fearless. I was still young and strong.

I knew if you start a fire you can't put out.
The final act will be sadness.

She took my hands and kissed them.
She whispered. "You have been so kind to me. Had great patience being my
teacher at work. I know you desire me. I see how you look at me. I want someone to
show me the world. Teach me pleasure and pain. Show me what love is supposed
to be. I want a man's hands on my body. Not a boy's."

I asked for a wine cooler.  Told her. "I don't know".

She gave me sweet kisses and took my hands. She wrapped her arms around me.
Asked. "Should I go?"

I said "no".

The cold of Winter was blowing a gentle northern breeze.
I looked out at my skylight.
I prayed not to make a fool's wish tonight.

Two lovers begin a new journey.
When passion and desire come. Very hard to stop.
The beauty of the first kiss. The first caress. The first taste of a lover's skin.
Stays with you forever.

I knew already. "Fine line between sex and love. Sex creates peace for the body.
Love creates peace for the soul. When you dance with the young in heart, pleasure is the desire, and love is not so important."

I still remember the love making. Wasn't for pleasure. Was to fix a desire that grew with each touch. Her hunger grew till one day, early in the Spring, she left me. I knew the day would come. Some woman are to be held forever. Some are to be held for a moment.

I allowed her to leave. I knew it was better to be kind in the goodbye.  My heart was gone and I found little solitude in my life. I joined a war to escape her memory.

Funny, life is a circle. We met two more times. We had a strange bond.
Even today, years later. I wish to touch our glasses  filled with sweet red wine. Touch her perfect body till the morning light. Some dreams become nightmares. Then the nightmares become sweet dreams.

I told her often over the year. "You are always on my mind."

Relationships are give and take and the right balance makes both feel complete...

Once someone touches our heart then they will always be there.

This is really a great write Coyote.... so descriptive and alive..telling and honest...so much "passion and desire...." I simply loved the story you told, Coyote and the way you told it.....Remember everything happens for a reason...who knows somewhere down the road.........you left me with lasting impressions.
That being said...I do have some critiquing to do....if I may
I believe you have to decide whether you want "her" to be "you" throughout the poem or "her and she"...It confused me (not really) But I'm not sure whether you are talking "to" her or about "her".....I feel it would read clearer if you changed all the pronouns one way or another. This is a minor change and doesn't change the essence of the poem (well actually it could). Is it a love poem to her or reminiscence about her?
Also a couple of minor things: In stanza 8 "show me what love is support to be
I believe you meant to use "suppose" and next to last stanza "two more time(S).
finally: and this is more logistics..the first four lines are next to the picture. I am sure you would prefer them to be with the body of the poem....I've seen this a lot. If you do want to correct this go to manage writing...edit ... set your cursor next to first word and hit return....you may have to hit it 10-12 time to make it move...but move it will....I tell you this because sometimes the reader misses the most important line to the poem.
I really did love your write...but I guess I woke up in critique mode today.

I also wrote a new poem, 1st one in a while...."there I Was"... Please take a look/see when you get a chance. I'd appreciate it.

My mother, Susie Q, recommended that I come to read this write.

There are moments in our lives that last forever. Often, tender, yet bittersweet. These moments are treasures that live in our hearts for a lifetime. A first meeting, a first kiss, a baby's birth, a passing handshake, an exchanged smile, and the list goes on and on. Some moments are branded onto our very souls.

This was a very beautiful write!

Such beautiful memories you share of a Love Alive! In a time and place that takes precious moments that you share here so tenderly for granted; it is heartwarming to be reminded to live every moment to the fullest. The are the memories that carry us through some of the hardest times. Always a joy to read your work! I would not change a thing! ~ Jude :-)

Hi ,

You caught the love focused on the other ,the nervous ,innocent, playful, deep love.

It is the sweetest of joy when the stars line up . It feels as if it will never end. There is a peace and trust ,that allows one to completely relax.

Then the pain.....I'm so sorry! It is hard to know why . We justify many things . Like we will value the next person more having had the pain....Nope that is the lie the person who can't commit tells us...You would have always loved her..

So Sorry

Dam Coyote, that is a superb story, with all the ingredients of what love feels like.
There are some that never leave your mind. There is always one that you hope never leaves your mind, your heart, your soul, until you final breath.

This is a beautiful tribute to one person that gave you a relationship that keeps her ever on your mind. Sad when they leave us but thankfully the memories linger on. I can identify with this poem. Thank you, Coyote.

WOW! Captivating...I just felt each line build into this crescendo...I love it when I feel emotions, its like I am there...your poem speaks for itself. No need to add anything else, except how I felt your emotions.

Love this lines...I allowed her to leave/I knew better to be kind in the goodbye/ My heart was gone and I found little solitude in my life/ I join a war to escape her memory.

I felt that...mesmerizing.

You might want to check for grammatical errors or forgetfulness. A missing plural 's' there, and correction of tenses.

"Sex create peace for the body.
Love create peace for the soul. When you dance with the young in heart. Pleasure is the desire and love is not so important."

-Very true like the blazing sun.

'Funny life is a circle.'

-I did not understand this one until I read the next few lines. Your words are original.

'Some dreams become nightmares. Then the nightmare become sweet dreams.'

-Perfect for an ending. Your story amazed me, and provoked many thoughts and emotions, as If I had been there with the characters. Keep writing. Thank you.
