July fourth

July fourth

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Freedom isn't free.

"

                      July fourth.

I have stood with 15,000 Soldiers.
A division of Soldier believing in freedom and the America way.
Willing to protect and insure all people are free.

Here in the USA.
A melting pot of 300 million people.
Who knows good and hard times.
We do our best to get along.
Do our best to care for neighbors and friends.

Standing in a place where freedom of choice is allowed.
Freedom to think.
Option to aim at your dreams and goals is allowed.
Only limit is the wall of fears we create.

Freedom was create by blood of brave men and woman.

I stood at funeral of men who died in faraway wars.
Their family stood stronger then me.
The brother of my friend killed in Iraq.
Told the world on a large painting on his fence in his yard.

FREEDOM ISN'T FREE. SOME PEOPLE GIVE EVERYTHING.

My wish is simple for the People of the USA on July fourth.
For each of us to look at what we have.
To remember the good people missed in our life.
Be thankful for the opportunity to do great things or nothing.

USA is 235 years old on July fourth.
We can chose to go to school.
We can chose to work.
We can chose to love or fight.
We can chose the good or bad road.

This is our home.
Stand strong and proud.
The USA flag still stand for hope and opportunity.

I was born poor and had nothing.
I have what I need today.
Family is healthy and strong.
I'm thankful to live in a country where we will die to stay free.

Thank you for reading.

Coyote Poetry
Today 300,000 thousand Soldiers are standing for freedom. Right or wrong USA will assist and support the people in need. I pray all Soldiers are safe and will come home ASAP. The world may know peace one day.

Blessed are those who stand for freedom, and who fight for their country. An awesome write encircling all the aspects of freedom, and the lives of soldiers. So many people do not know what soldiers have sacrificed for them, in times of war. July 4th is a day to raise that flag in their honor, once again.

Reading this makes me want to cry. I hate war. I hate the effect it has on us and our lives. It changes people, hurts them. War is needed but I truly wish that wasn't the case.
Sometimes we forget the human element of 4th of July and we pass though it as if it was another day.
Thank you for the somber poem and above all thank you for serving for my freedom.

Way to go Coyote. This is one hell of a tribute to have right now.
Being able to see the world...and also doing my tour in Iraq
...has shown me that being here is a blessing. We are indeed lucky
to be Americans.

This is a wonderful poem celebrating the USA's Independence Day and the price we pay to keep her that way. That price none of us should forget. And we need to fight to keep the USA a free country as that freedom is rapidly slipping away. I,for one, don't want to let all those people over the course of this countries existence who fought and died for this country to be free down because we decided not to fight for her and our freedom too.
