July fourth

July fourth

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Freedom isn't free.

"

                      July fourth.

I have stood with 15,000 Soldiers.
A division of Soldier believing in freedom and the America way.
Willing to protect and insure all people are free.

Here in the USA.
A melting pot of 300 million people.
Who knows good and hard times.
We do our best to get along.
Do our best to care for neighbors and friends.

Standing in a place where freedom of choice is allowed.
Freedom to think.
Option to aim at your dreams and goals is allowed.
Only limit is the wall of fears we create.

Freedom was create by blood of brave men and woman.

I stood at funeral of men who died in faraway wars.
Their family stood stronger then me.
The brother of my friend killed in Iraq.
Told the world on a large painting on his fence in his yard.

FREEDOM ISN'T FREE. SOME PEOPLE GIVE EVERYTHING.

My wish is simple for the People of the USA on July fourth.
For each of us to look at what we have.
To remember the good people missed in our life.
Be thankful for the opportunity to do great things or nothing.

USA is 235 years old on July fourth.
We can chose to go to school.
We can chose to work.
We can chose to love or fight.
We can chose the good or bad road.

This is our home.
Stand strong and proud.
The USA flag still stand for hope and opportunity.

I was born poor and had nothing.
I have what I need today.
Family is healthy and strong.
I'm thankful to live in a country where we will die to stay free.

Thank you for reading.

Coyote Poetry
Today 300,000 thousand Soldiers are standing for freedom. Right or wrong USA will assist and support the people in need. I pray all Soldiers are safe and will come home ASAP. The world may know peace one day.

Blessed are those who stand for freedom, and who fight for their country. An awesome write encircling all the aspects of freedom, and the lives of soldiers. So many people do not know what soldiers have sacrificed for them, in times of war. July 4th is a day to raise that flag in their honor, once again.

This beautiful poem reminds one to count the blessings in life, to remember our loved ones that we lost and to remind ourselves how evil war is. Great poetry with great pictures too. Just wonderful to read. Thanks...

Thank you for your service. :) Knowing that you have served adds even more depth to your writing.
I am glad that you have managed to find peace and a family at last, but I do still feel angry at countries for always sending their people to death, without finding a better way to do it. The only peace that war brings is the peace of death.

We still live in the best place on this Earth. Soldiers have died so we can do great things or nothing at all...nice sentiment

Nicely written, people do not realise how much of what you have written here is true. Freedom is not free, the price can be terrible.

I think right now this poem means more than anything with the growing debt crisis we have. Even when the country is on the brink of a disaster that may be horrible, I think it's important that we still stand behind it. Yes, some people will flee and such, but those who stand behind the country are the ones who end up better, because they have pride, and pride wins any form or quantity of money. Your poem should be spread across the news and through mail, in hopes of raising a country back from the brink of death. Fantastic job.

true, America is rightly called ''God's melting pot''....the values of freedom of speach,of freedom to act and all but a sad aspect of this meta narrative is that we the outsiders didnt achieve much good from America's capabilty to do so(being the super-power)....
as far as i'm concerned i'm an anti-war and i think even most of americans dont approve of the attacks on Iraq and Afghanistan but i contribute in praying for the safe arrival of soldiers back to their home where they belong, where they should return soon, the right thing to do...a captivating write...
