Memory of a Mother

Memory of a Mother

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

I was raised by a stepmother. I called her mother. She gave love and raised many children. The word Mother should be used in honor of strong and wonderful woman.

"

                                      Memory of a Mother

(I was raised by my stepmother Sonja.
A beautiful and wonderful lady who died too young.)

  Names given are earned.

Not easy to become.

You were a mother to many.

You try to love all of us.

Errors made in a life haunted your dreams and life.

The good deeds overcame all your mistakes.

Mother and  Mama. Sweet words spoken to a woman who loved her children.

You shall be to me.

Mama Sonja for your gift of love.

Being a mother is probably the best experience any woman is or wants to be. Sometimes there are bad mothers but in the end you'll find that side that cares for the people around them no matter the circumstances. Good dedication for today and hope you have a Happy Mother's Day.

Lovely. I lost my mother at a young age and Mother's Day always leaves me feeling sore and sad, but today hasn't been bad at all.
I hope today has been a happy day for you too.

Wonderful tribute to your stepmother Sonja, and valuable advice to those of us whose mother is among the living. I like the lines 'Errors made in a life haunted your dreams and life. / The good deeds overcame all your mistakes.'... What's important is love as you say...

short but sweet, tells her you love her and I why. I like how you pointed out that it doesn't have to be your actaull a mother, just a "motherly figure" to be considered a mom! good work! =)
