Don't look at me with disappointment.

Don't look at me with disappointment.

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

For Lavina K. and Sarah w. They make me feel world is in good hands.

"
Don't look at me with disappointment.

Don't look at me.
Don't give me those sad looks of disappointment.
I don't care what you see.

I'm breaking down walls.
I'm not afraid.
Like you, a robot.
Walking the walk of a machine.

All you got is death to wish for.
For your simple dreams and goals will break your heart.

I will laugh.
I did not believe in the rules of the government.
I saw the signs of failure.
I question the  policies and rules.

Give me the morning sunrise.
Time to dance and sing.
Allow the powerful ocean to wash away the dirty rules.
Give me time to find calm and friendship.

I don't want your dirty dreams.
I don't want to hear your lies.
There are too many people already waiting for death.

I want life.
I want to swim in the big ocean storms.
Free climb to high peaks and give thanks to Nature.
I want to feel every pleasure that can be felt.

Give me sweet wine and good beer.
Sweet ladies to dance with and find laughter.
Give me time to appreciate Nature.

I won't allow you to punish me for seeking a different way then you.

I will watch your sad faces.
As I run down the empty beaches.
Looking for peace and calm in this world.
Eating life like a hungry child.

Life is to be lived.
Not hide behind rules and laws that will blind you from the beauty
of a new day.

Run with the wind. Dance with the sea. Celebrate every second of life.

This reminds me of the time when I hit a crossroads in my life and
began to question who I would be in a future where I only lived for
myself. It brought back the feelings of waking up and realizing that
I no longer wanted to be the person I had worked so hard to become.
Very thought provoking piece. This seems like the framework of getting
priorities straight. Your wisdom here teaches how to find happiness...
in the most candid and indirect way, but is still very obvious.

I think this is very inspirational to ANYONE who is trying to get the BEST out of this tough life. I really enjoyed reading this---it motivates us to keep striving to find good, and there's lots of good out there to find; we've just gotta open our eyes, search for it, then see it. We can't let the "robotic walking machines" drag us down. Every stanza has a unique message. Thanks for sharing this '78 Classic write!

DEFINITELY your BEST so far. I loved the I-don't-care attitude, but you put it across in such a SMART way, which I found unique and GREAT!
Keep writing! Take care!

First of all, I like how you mention the dedications in your descirptions, it shows how passionate you are to communicate and respond to the world and people in it through poetry. And the picture is I think cute! (obsessd with anything related to dogs or wolves -i think u know that lol-) This poem painted freedom, and a healthy love for life and nature, I dont think the words were mentioned to defy rules, regulations or such, but I think it came out the desperate true wanting to breathe air, real, God-made, fresh air.

I will laugh.
I did not believe in the rules of the government.
I saw the signs of failure.
I question the policies and rules.

very powerful. simple. and obviously something we can relate to. Thank you so much. Keep writing.
