Don't look at me with disappointment.

Don't look at me with disappointment.

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

For Lavina K. and Sarah w. They make me feel world is in good hands.

"
Don't look at me with disappointment.

Don't look at me.
Don't give me those sad looks of disappointment.
I don't care what you see.

I'm breaking down walls.
I'm not afraid.
Like you, a robot.
Walking the walk of a machine.

All you got is death to wish for.
For your simple dreams and goals will break your heart.

I will laugh.
I did not believe in the rules of the government.
I saw the signs of failure.
I question the  policies and rules.

Give me the morning sunrise.
Time to dance and sing.
Allow the powerful ocean to wash away the dirty rules.
Give me time to find calm and friendship.

I don't want your dirty dreams.
I don't want to hear your lies.
There are too many people already waiting for death.

I want life.
I want to swim in the big ocean storms.
Free climb to high peaks and give thanks to Nature.
I want to feel every pleasure that can be felt.

Give me sweet wine and good beer.
Sweet ladies to dance with and find laughter.
Give me time to appreciate Nature.

I won't allow you to punish me for seeking a different way then you.

I will watch your sad faces.
As I run down the empty beaches.
Looking for peace and calm in this world.
Eating life like a hungry child.

Life is to be lived.
Not hide behind rules and laws that will blind you from the beauty
of a new day.

Run with the wind. Dance with the sea. Celebrate every second of life.

This poem is like the sweet wine described in your poem... So very wonderful. You are one I'd spend time with, my friend.

As always, your work is very insightful, thoughtful, and unique in style. This is a really admirable poem, and one that rings home for me with every beat. This is a true description of how the prisoners of life view the truly free. Very well expressed and very clearly thought out. I love your view of life, and how clearly you express it. Your work is always unencumbered by pretension. Forthright, accurate, almost cutting, very honest, unafraid, and clearly expressed. Great philosophy, and great writing. The rhythm is lovely, both natural and punchy, and the structure is very digestible. Words to live by. Super writing.

a really great poem!! I like how some of the lines from one stanza linger over onto another you have a very natural feel for rhythm:

"I don't want to hear your lies.
There are too many people already waiting for death.

I want life."

very nice!!

YES!!! Fabulous Coyote! I couldn't agree more. Most of us get on our soap box regularly...the world is such a disappointing place isn't it?
Loved this;
"Allow the powerful ocean to wash away the dirty rules." Rivetting my friend and good for you!!
Kudos :-)

I especially love the last line, "Run with the wind, Dance with sea, Celebrate every second of life". I think it is something that has been forgotten in today's society, what with busy work schedules, commitments, school etc and it really brings out an ambition to live life to the full. Just let go and enjoy what is out there, you only live once. Thanks for the inspiration. A brilliant read. Ella x
