My lady

My lady

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

A old poem written by a sad heart.

"
                               My lady

My lady,
I still cry out in sweet dreams your name.

So long since our lips had touched.
I still wish upon a star,
to be able to look into your eyes.

I wish to awake with your body near.
To put my face into your long blond hair.
Be intoxicated by my love for you.

I wish to hold your tender hands on a walk by the lake.
Two  young titans with love as our shield.

My lady of joy and happiness.
Allow me to remember you sweetly.
For only in your arms did I feel complete.

Salvation I cannot find.
The knife of disappointment is cutting away my tenderness.
Your love is the only loss I can't get over.

My lady,
dressed in white.
Your long blond hair flowing in in the gentle breeze.
I dreamed you were whispering.
"I will only love you."

I have tried to erase your memory.
The memory is tattoos on my heart.
Paradise is rarely touched in a life.

Youth is the greatest high.
We were babies making great dreams happen.
Paradise of candles and the heat of love.
I didn't know sweet dreams would break my heart forever.

My lady of tenderness.
Your beautiful face will not be forgotten.
You were my first true love.

A sweet memory upon a old heart today.

Let's see...the last line, ought to say "upon AN old heart." I beleive, no? Love can hurt more than we can bear sometimes, but life without love isnt worth living at all-some people spend their whole lifes looking for love, or suffering without out..it can ruin people, but it can complete them as well. nice job (:

Yes indeed, you nailed the emotion. Youth IS the greatest high...but these are the good old days. Gracias, Amigo

Beautiful. I firmly believe that your first love never truly leaves you. Even though you may move on and love someone else later, your first true love will always posses a piece of your heart, no matter how hard you try to forget. Very nice and heartfelt write.

Well written sad poem.
`I have tried to erase your memory.
The memory is tattoos on my heart.
Paradise is rarely touched in a life.'

Middle word above do you mean tattood? or as written? However hard we might try our first love has a an effect that is hard to remove. If only youngsters could learn from our mistakes before making their own but better to love and loose they say than never at all. Easier to say than live with!

All we have when the world seems dreary is our memories, something to hold onto like it's the only thing left to grab. such sadness in this poem, but a wonderful and enjoyable read. ~bravo
