Wounded Angel

Wounded Angel

A Poem by Coyote Poetry

  Wounded Angel

 My sad  friend.
Please smile for me.
Stay with me by the sea all night.

Your world has fell apart.
You don't know right from wrong.
Desperate acts had left you feeling
dirty and insulated from everyone.

Please take my hand.
Walk with a man who swims in s**t most
of his life.

Ain't no real Angels on this Earth.
Only us struggling to make amends.

We all must do things we are ashamed of.
World isn't clean anymore.
Not enough helping hands.

Ain't no pity for the people in plight today.
I know we get fatigue and humiliated to
believing we are worthless and destitute.

Broken Angel.
Please take my hand.
Walk with a contaminated man.
Jaded kisses and broken promises had
left me empty.
The not so sweet taste of life has turn me bitter.

The sad woman whisper.
"I'm a dumping ground for men
who want to use and abuse.
I don't mean much to no-one."

I  touch her face.
I tell her.
"We must ascend from the malingering hell.
Leave the one's who want you to beg for mercy."

"Ain't no easy road.
Sometime we must get up.
Tell the world to back away."

"Find a better path to be on.
Kinder  and better people."

Please my broken Angel walk with me.
Take my hand.
The new day is rising from the East.

This is so amazingly powerful.. it is ragged, it is real and it is raw... When a man says it, like it is, it should come across as true... When a man is a poet, there should be no need to shout.. When a good man is a great poet, people listen and have no doubt... here is a good example that just goes to prove my point.... AGT's ...Neville

This is such a gritty, honest, caring write that confesses the reality of love in the depths of despair and anguish. Nothing is color coded, yet you offer a true hope in these last lines.. a new day will come..

I think the ragged edges of those in plight is a unique slant on the idea of the presented Angel, the broken and down trodden woman. To use superlatives that are in the measure of those byways of human tragedy. Asking the broken Angel for the understanding and easing the burdens of the turning into and, maybe not away. Come, share with me. Please my broken Angel walk with me and maybe. Better days.

Whether intended or not its how I felt, this in that between. Of a hard ball look at the dealing those of them found in their, whatever they might be and to have to given them short sharp characters. [I don't mean much to no-one] a lot said in this simple phrasing. To the level of that pathos. Very dramatic.

A great new work Coyote. Romon in Review Write On / Right On!

I am touched by the sincerity of these words. It is true that alot of the world we live in is not "pure". A beautiful poem! :)

A more beautiful sentiment there is hard to find, nicely composed and sincerely delivered. Thank you again for your writing.

I adore the end to this, with the sun day rising :) Beautifully voiced sweety!
I think this poem works wonderfully, a potent message within, a great way of letting the reader know that others feel turmoil too at certain points in their life and it also moves!
Brilliant work love!

The new day is rising...

Truly heart-warming poem. If only every desperate soul could hear such honestly meant words and have someone reaching out a hand to help them up.
Wonder-full write.

couple of small gramatical issues but they don't detract. yes, have seen this person before, sometimes they don't want help. those are the painful ones to watch.
