Did I tell you?

Did I tell you?

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

A wise person is thankful for what he has.

"

Did I tell you?

I don't remember if I told you how beautiful you are.

I have allowed so many things to blind my eyes.

Allowing disappointment to steal my smile and laughter.

I know.

If you left me.

I would become lost again.

I have twisted up my life in useless dreams.

Victories seem so far away.

Now I know.

You are my  only sweet dream.

That  I  have  gathered in my time of living.

I want to tell you.

I love you more than my own life.

Without you.

I would have no purpose.

Your love for me is a blessing.

A gift to a man so thankful for you.

Thankful for a kind lady  that touched his life.

I love you.

Your words are beautiful truth Coyote. This poem is a jewel to put in the crown of your love. It matches her beauty, as the photo shows. Eloquent, lyrical, tender...a song to the person whose love must never be taken for granted...in good times and bad...”Did I tell you?” In this poem, you did. Superb!

Awesome poem! You are absolutely right when you say we need to be thankful for those that stay with us during the bad and the good. It is easy for people to turn away when things are going bad for you... the people that really matter and really care about you are there when things get bad and the struggle is hard to overcome. Great work I really enjoyed this piece!

Thank you. I appreciate the kind words.
I adore this write. Oftentimes we take the people we love for granted and don’t show just how much we value them. We become so used to what they do for us that we forget to express how much we appreciate everything that they do. An inspirational write to always be appreciative and grateful especially to those "who stay with us through the good and bad times" A very touching and heartfelt poem. Beautifully written, Coyote.

Beautiful piece Coyote.

I completely agree with all that you have written. Sometimes we fall out of the act of being thankful for those who have stayed with us the longest. Even being thankful to the newcomers is important! If we are to not only survive, but also thrive, we must make sure that those around us feel appreciated. And soon perhaps, they will realize that appreciation is just as easily returned as it is given.

I look forward to more of your work!

We should never stop saying how beautiful someone is.....how much we love them. Appreciation is everything in any relationship.

It is so easy to let things slide and slowly loose the closeness needed to keep things moving along smoothly. Great write Coyote and a reminder to us all....APPRECIATION....that is the key!

Kindest regards

Yes, we need to tell those we love, and who live us, that we love them - reminding them every day how much we appreciate them. Well said Coyote!

I really loved the line, "I have twisted up my life in useless dreams." The rest is good with a nice flow and personal emotion shown.
