Did I tell you?

Did I tell you?

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

A wise person is thankful for what he has.

"

Did I tell you?

I don't remember if I told you how beautiful you are.

I have allowed so many things to blind my eyes.

Allowing disappointment to steal my smile and laughter.

I know.

If you left me.

I would become lost again.

I have twisted up my life in useless dreams.

Victories seem so far away.

Now I know.

You are my  only sweet dream.

That  I  have  gathered in my time of living.

I want to tell you.

I love you more than my own life.

Without you.

I would have no purpose.

Your love for me is a blessing.

A gift to a man so thankful for you.

Thankful for a kind lady  that touched his life.

I love you.

Your words are beautiful truth Coyote. This poem is a jewel to put in the crown of your love. It matches her beauty, as the photo shows. Eloquent, lyrical, tender...a song to the person whose love must never be taken for granted...in good times and bad...”Did I tell you?” In this poem, you did. Superb!

Touching indeed. Something we can all relate to in certain stages of life. Selfishness is equally originated with selflessness in our souls. And life is a war internally, our love and power to give does not always conquor our selfishness. Wise and painfully realistic. Thank you for sharing. keep writing. :)

Yes, a non-sage, can't recognize what's around 'em but thru experiences, they hopefully will find out that a partner can bring out the best and vice versa. Nice homage to that lucky lady in your life. I love how the phrase: "I have twisted up my life in useless dreams." conjures up a "twisted" image of how we can lose our way in unattainable dreams but again, dreaming big can lead to self discovery... Anyhow, Thanks for sharing this lovely poem, Coyote..

It makes me sad to read something so beautiful. People who have a love in their lives are truly blessed. I find love to truly be the biggest mystery, for it has always escaped me. But the poem isn't about me, it's about you, and I think it's wonderfully written. Great job.

Very sweet. We should always be thankful for what we have and always tell the person that we love them.

A very touchy poem.
Each line describes your love for that person...
I love that line a lot
"I want to tell you.

I love you more than my own life."

It showed how deeply you love that person...
great great work!!!!!!!!
