Bloody Carnival

Bloody Carnival

A Poem by Coyote Poetry

HIV, Starvation and War. Hard to see the good in this world.

 Bloody Carnival

Disoriented and disenchanted with my world around me.

The carnage and blood thirst of war overpowered the men  and
woman of peace.

Asylum of crazed leaders need to be put down like rabid dogs.
The innocent children are betrayed and dismissed as only
body counts.

Causes and clauses blind the common man.
We must stand in the place of the people in the war zones.

Feel the fear and emotion of death always being near.
Hunger and violence all around you.

The bloody Carnival of death growing by the second.

In Africa today.
30,000 will die of starvation.
30,000 will die of HIV.
Pray for men, woman and children fighting to stay alive.

More Soldiers to Afghanistan.
Going to places who do not want our help.

They want to be left to their own decisions.
Their direction and dreams must be allowed to happen.

The obsession and desire for more blood will destroy all that
is beautiful and good.

The horrendous cost  of war could feed and give a place
to live to  every human being in this world.

The tyrants and men of hate.
Must learn from the men and woman in their countries.
War must end.

Mercy for the children.
Everywhere please.

Author's Note

Coyote Poetry
I feel we must change directions. I asks my leaders why are we in the Middle East? They have no answers. Terrorist have been around for 3000 years at least. Better to have strong borders protection and proper security. There is no defense for crazed men who will died for a religion. We must protect the borders and allow the Middle East figure out what they want.

War is a very sensitive topic,
more sensitive when it comes to religious war.

I fail to understand why people would want to die for a religion.
when all religions say god is one, but with many names

Terrorists are around for 3000 years
but killers are around for much longer than that and its a basic instinct in every human

The more you desire for something, the more you want it
the more you want it, the more you will go behind it
and when this gives a clash, the person becomes defiant
defiancy leads to deadly desire, and nothing can stop that man from achieving what he wants.
Desire is the root cause of all evil

Everybody is rich in this world (rhetorical, read in religious sense)
But the way you spend things will make others seem more richer

Evrybody is poor in this world(rhetorical, read in religious sense)
but the way you understand things makes others seem poorer.

Border protection is important ,but no system is 100% secure.
People need not change the way they think
People need to change the way they understand others

Every War has a beautiful reason to start and a terrible reason to end.And if the End justifies the means ,as the saying goes I should accept with your point ,and every war is a failure

There is a saying in Telugu and it roughly translates as this :

The people who say that killing others is the only way to live
and to live, you have to kill
will they ever realise that they are their own enemies?

A wonderful piece of poetry , you have written down. However ,I should say , It falls flat when compared to the Killer on the Road.Rating : 100/100

they really don't care about humanity or parts of it, the poverty stricken are just draining their pockets...its all about greed and protecting their own....they really don't care about the sick, the poor, the ones that drain their pockets...they only care about the poor to make them fight their wars...for their pockets....they don't care if they die...die fighting their stupid wars....

you said it all right there... it seems we jump to spend money to destroy instead of help... humanity has become something of a menagerie... let us pray for peace... AMEN

You've gone through war, you're a writer and thinker and I really do salute this post. It comes from a good heart, gives details and yet sits on the right side of logic.

It's true, war and killing has always been with us .. every time we go to war I wonder if it will be last one because tragically Man has been rehearsing it for thousands of years. I truly do NOT believe that we are meant to kill whether for religion or anything else. Trouble is: civilisation has made us think of self, possessions, power, etc., and seems that the greed for those things have taken away the ability to see clearly. I don't think that's an overly idealistic way of seeing things .. others might well disagree.

Yes, we need to strengthen our defense systems but along with that goes the willingless to talk with the heartfelt urge to see the other side .. it wouldn't be easy but surely it's the only way. Hatred and intolerance breeds yet more, suspicion and ignorance is the same. It's about time Man accepted that civilisation has responsibilities .. that's if we still want to have a planet to walk upon.

Sorry, maybe this is a rant .. but your wonderfuly writing has brought out thoughts and yet more thoughts.

Death is all around us today. Or maybe it always was, and we are more aware of it. Whatever it is, it does make for depressing news the world over. I realize the truth in what you are saying. Seeking to IMPOSE freedom anywhere is oxymoronic. The world might be deteriorating, and we have only ourselves to blame for that. It won't hurt to think, and to be kind sometimes.

"Feel the fear and emotion of death always being near."

True. But I think we always feel that kind of emotion. Death is not something new, brought to us by terrorists. We don't know when we die. And I don't think we should let ourselves be drawn away from whatever the task at hand is.

I like the serious tone of the write, and its matter-of-factness. You state everything precisely, and to the point. This write is definitely food for thought. But I guess you can enhance the poem by removing the few typographical errors and grammatical mistakes that have crept up.

I liked the poem very much!
Peace.

so true.. so true... no one likes to bossed around and to be played with like a fool...
nobody likes to submit... a very prominent social topic this is in recent times...
and im glad you spoke about it through your words... great... we need more such enlightenment...

Strong write my friend.

Zealots and extremists will always exist, but it was once said that all it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. Should we stand by and watch the Taliban take over Afganistan and then invade the nuclear state of Pakistan as they plan. What would we have then? Zealots and extremists armed with the ability to destroy our planet, everything else will count for nothing then. As the wife of an infantryman I dispise this war, but believe it's necessary so that we can give back the Earth we've borrowed from our children.
