Daybreak confession to the Sea

Daybreak confession to the Sea

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

In a life we must add up what we have done. Re-set our journey and begin again.

"
  Daybreak confession to the Sea

I have reached the bottom of the bottle.
Now distraught and delirious dreams led me to wishing.

I was swimming in your warm sweet kisses.
Desiring steamy long nights of passion  in your embrace.

I have joined the bonafide brethren of men who cradle love in their hands.
And misused the sweet woman.

Now I sit in a abyss of s**t sipping bourbon.
Walking on a tightrope.

I wish for those nights when you came to me in your sexy red negligee.
Your brown eyes taking the weight of the world away.

I try to forget your beautiful face.

I pick-up another shot of whiskey.
Raise the glass up and whisper to a divine and beautiful woman.
Who flee my worthless life.

Daybreak will be merciful.

I sit alone by the sea.
I will calculate how kind and noble you were.

I pray to the God of the Sea.

Sent a Angel to me with beautiful brown eyes.
To bring joy and laughter back into a sad life.

I'm sorry.

Sorry I have been so busy reading so many writes, I was unable to take out time for reading yours before now. ^^ And wow did I start with an amazing one. I am a teetotaler so for me I wouldn't know how the Bourbon felt. But pretty sure it was just a temporary relief. Heartache and heartbreak is harsh, and you know the sorrows you end up drowning in is worsened when you have lost your way and not willing to get over it.
Umm not sure if this was intentional but in the last couplet you have written a Angel, shouldn't it be an Angel?
Thank you for sharing ^^ Some good advice thrown here for others to learn and follow ^^

When a poem becomes a letter.. it tells a story.. and a life time.. Apologies are a tear cried on top of the Moon...so I say
You have a light touch, silky and,soft.. Love it..

A sad, sad poem of lost love but a hard lesson learned. To lose a special someone - to feel the pain of his or her absence, hurts like the fiercest fire.

' I pray to the God of the Sea. Sent a Angel to me with beautiful brown eyes.
To bring joy and laughter back into a sad life. '

Those words really hit home, but, the final words in your poem .. 'I'm sorry' .. say it all.

Wishing you joy in the not too distant future, hold on to the happy memories, my friend.

This is a lesson that is never to late to learn, I hope we all learn it before the lonely days are more permanent. I like to think I have learned this but only time will tell, so far I am doing a good job lets see what tomorrow brings. Wonderful write.

Sometimes you don't realize what you have until it's gone. However I believe that is what life is all about, you live and you learn. Beautifully written it's as if I can feel your pain and longing. I really loved it.

Wow. This is beautifully written. We all have regrets for things we've done and things we should have done. Very well written.

We all have regrets for things done or left undone. But we can't return to yesterday. So we must press on or decide to blot out the world with drink or drugs.
It is better to have loved and lost than not to have loved at all.

Wonderful poem...very sad and moving. Always look beyond the mist on the sea....cos there is a whole new life there....waiting to be discovered. Nothing wrong with a little tipple to ease the pain...but not constantly.
I could feel your pain as you described very clearly your loss.
Thanks for the share
