The Waltz

The Waltz

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

The ocean and love create emotions and passion that stay with us forever.

"

The waltz

We were doing a waltz upon the beach.
 The waves were the orchestra.
The wind was whispering a love song.

I tossed her into a twirl.
 Brought her back to me.

By the light of the moon.
Two lovers danced the movement of freedom
 and celebrating being alive.

We come back to the ocean after each journey.
 The ocean keeps our secrets.

The dancing waves are always waiting.

She was as beautiful as when I first saw her
and I held her like she was my last breath.

Two shadows upon a naked beach.
Doing the dance of hope and freedom.

The cold of winter is surrounding us.
We warm each other with laughter and dancing.

Two friends, lovers  and travelers who come to celebrate being alive.
Peace for a moment for two people who love the road.

We find each other at the end of our journeys.
Two wanderers in search of peace.

I love you my beautiful  Beatrice

What a wonderful thought .. the waves were the orchestra .. tis true, tis really true, the sounds of water ripple and play on and on endlessly. This is such a warm romantic poem, John .. a time of specialness and the making of lasting memories. A beautiful phrase, 'She was as beautiful as when I first saw her ~ and I held her like she was my last breath.'

(Comments not getting through, so many thank yous for your review to me, John)

I love the nature of this poem.
It is so pure and not deluded by
the insincere things that bastardize
the name of love.

Two lovers in a moment in time. The cold world marches on. This is what gets us through. Life is like the coldest Winter... An excellent write Coyote!

A romantically picturesque piece...

I tossed you into a twirl.
Brought you back to me.

to me this is symbolic to that notion if you love someone set them free if they come back they are yours.

You provide a wonderful vivid image here! For Beatrice, although many can relate, or wish they could. Feels very magical and the mood seems just right. Well done.
