![]() Maybe, one more cup of Irish coffee..A Poem by Coyote Poetry![]() April is poetry month. This is new poem number twenty-two.![]() Maybe, one more cup of Irish coffee? I remember the fragrance of her. I knew I wanted her on a Summer day. She played her violin for coin by the Monterey Bay. I dropped fifty dollars into her cup and I listen her play. I saw in her eyes, seeking something in me. After she quit playing and you out away your violin in the case. She came to me and she asked me. Do you love me soldier? Do you adore me soldier? I would like this. I told her dear Stella. I love the music of the violin and I do love your devilish eyes and dangerous smile. Maybe I do love you? She thought about my words spoken and she told me. Buy me a Irish Coffee and we can discuss who we are and where we can go soldier. What is your name? I told her my name Johnnie, Poet soldier, sea lover and I adore the ladies who can play the violin and move like the sea. I do like the dark Gypsy gals. She laughed at my words and she told me. You are stealing my heart and if you are lucky. I will my violin alone with you in my apartment. I am a Gypsy girl seeking adventure and I see in your eyes. A untamed man wanting everything and nothing. I told her. I had everything once. Now I have nothing and I know peace. I like to suicide board the sea and free-climb any mountain near. I have a Gypsy heart seeking the forest and free people. She smiled and she told me. We will drink the Irish coffee tonight and dance/pray to the moon and the stars by the sea. If we can survive this night. Maybe I will play my violin for coin tomorrow and maybe you can buy me another cup of Irish coffee? She came to me. Kissed my forehead and my lips. She whispered. The night is coming and life must be celebrated. We need a bottle of Irish Whiskey and we will dance for the sea. We will have a Gypsy night. Dancing Coyote © 2025 Coyote PoetryAuthor's Note
