Did I thank you?

Did I thank you?

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

( April is poetry month. Poem number eleven.)

"

Did I thank you?

Aunt Ruth and Uncle Bill, did I thank you?

I was just a kid with little and you held my hands and ensured I was safe.

Each Christmas. I would receive a package with t-shirts, underwear and socks.

A note telling me. Johnnie, come to Florida and see us.

I would send a thank you note and I wished I thanks you face to face.

Honored and kind people don’t seek rewards. They assist in silence.

Gift of concern, kindness, food and love. We must do.

We need more angels walking with us.

They teach us. We do not walk alone.

They do surround us each day! 🙏🏻🕊️
This reminds me of how seldom I saw my godparents once we moved to Illinois from NY.
They were in Greenwich, Connecticut.
They would send me presents at Christmas and remind me they loved me from far away.
