![]() Understandable..A Poem by Coyote Poetry![]() First poem in 34 days. Trying to awake my muse.![]() Understandable.. I told the pretty Gypsy gal at the Stray Cat Inn. Love never befriended me. I sought the wild sea, I sought the sea dancer. And I learn. Love isn’t understandable to wishful hearts. We seek things, that can’t be held forever. Pretty gal with sea blue eyes told me. Maybe love don’t suppose be locked doors, maybe we don’t suppose imprison love? Maybe a kiss, is a gift. Maybe the long embrace on a cold night, just two seeking comfort. Not ownership. I took her hands and I told her. My Gypsy Michigan gal, you are prettier than a warm Spring day. I love seeing you dance in the field of wildflowers and I know. You are like the sun on my face, kindness and warmth to heat my soul. I learn years ago. You and I, we love the Great lakes, we love our vodka and juice nights. And we hate walls and too many words. We have learn. Words are meaningless and we have learn. We are like the free hawks, flying above a world, seeking new places to see. Pretty Gypsy gal told me. Love should be sweet, love should be coffee morning and love should be given without regret. Love is never understandable, wanted. People fall together because they want conversation, people fall together because they want someone to make them laugh and dream. We were fallen people who found Lake Superior and we drink, we danced and we told the world to leave us be. I order two Vodka and Juice and I asked her. Where do the free birds go when they become old and so tired. She smiled and she whispered. We go to the lakes, we drink and we dance. And we wait for death kiss.
