They are killing angels on earth dear God..

I do love the great Moms Mabley. Her song had purpose and reason today. The world had accepted war with a blink of a eye. Death in Palestine, Israel, Ukraine and Russia. Just a number.

When I was young. I watched the late sixties TV. The had body counts. USA soldiers and the Vietnam soldiers counted like a game show. I didn’t understand what the reason for. Now it create great sadness.

The USA love their guns. USA had more weapon of death than the whole world. After the murder of Christina Grimmie and the Orlando massacre. They attempted to change the rules on gun ownership. The NRA bought the Republican. We are less safe today.

They are killing angels my dear friends. Angry and hateful men prefer death over the safety of the children, of the women. The greedy people who profit from war. Need war.

Guns cost money, bullets cost money. Planes cost billions, tanks cost millions and the value of a soldier life. Mean little.

My Ojibwa poem for the killing of angels..

“Little one, don’t you cry.

Once day, the gun will stop shooting,

the bombs will not be heard.

My little one, don’t you hide.

Someday our world can be safe for you.

Someday we won’t see race, religion or color.

We will become just people.

Little one, we must stand for peace and hope.

All of gather in the comfort of nature.

Pray in the voices of many for no more war, no more violence.

I pray we learn the babies are angels, the children are angel.

The kind women are angels. Just seeking to be safe.”

When a violence man killed Christina Grimmie. We learn.

They kill angels dear Lord.

When they murdered Abe Lincoln, Martin Luther King Jr., John F. Kennedy and his brother.

Robert Kennedy. How men of peace can be killed.

How many children will die in Palestine today?

How many children will die in Russia and Ukraine today?

Do we know their name?

They are killing angels on earth God.

Where are the peacemaker.

One earth, one people. We must get along.

Bobby Kennedy was shot on my 18th birthday and died after midnight, which was my graduation day from high school...I was excited about voting for the first time...that weekend was a nightmare....
Martin Luther and JFK, nightmares as well...and children dying because of so many guns with easier access....do we need them so badly that the lives of children don't matter that much?
I don't want to see race, religion or color...I just want to see all people as one, live in peace.

Your poem says it all; but how to stop this senseless slaughter? The animal kingdom, (excepting the Chimpanzee, that interestingly shares a common ancestor with mankind,) generally kills only for survival and to protect their own territory; whereas we seem to be programmed to commit violence against our fellow man for so many wrong reasons, and the current violent conflicts around the world are shameful examples of how greed and ego can destroy so much that is beautiful. Especially our children who should be cherished and nurtured; rather than in the name of collateral damage be indiscriminately murdered by the decree of power hungry men who hide behind smart suits and political rhetoric.

Would that one day it will all end and what then remains of our time on Earth will be lived out in peace and harmony; meantime, I am not holding my breath.

Violence has always been a part of America from the very beginning of its discovery. We grew up with violent TV shows and movies. Even cartoons had some violence. From the old west, to the 1920's gangsters, to Bonnie and Clyde, to John Dillinger and so much more. Guns are part of our country that will never disappear even though the lessons of their results is substantial. And that's a shame.

Providing guns to kill is now a big business and in Ireland a huge amount of guns and ammunition were imported and have been recovered this year. Guns also discovered at Dublin Airport within baggage. Wondering why it is easier to take a human life than try to understand it? In the US so many children have access to their parents guns and we read too often of killings or attempted killings at a school or college. It is heartbreaking, dear J... Sadly, there seems to be no end to the killings, no hope of living in peace and harmony with each other. Wondering also why we are so violent and lash out over the least little thing?
