A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Trying to wake-up my muse.

"

Like this..

1- If someone ask you. Is love real?

Tell them hold a small baby and watch their face.

Watch their eyes and see the energy of hope in their eyes.

The child teaches us what love is, with their smile.

Like this.

2- If someone ask you. Why do I live?

Take them to the sea, make them put their feet into the cold water.

Show them. They can still feel.

If someone ask you. Why do I live?

Kiss their face, kiss their hands.

Tell them, they are a part of us.

Without you. I would be alone.

Like this.

3- If someone ask you. Am I worthwhile to anyone?

You hold their hands, you caress their face.

You tell them. You are the best part of my world.

The family need your smile, the family need your laughter.

Without you, the world would be less kind, less sweeter.

Dear John, this amazingly penned poem is SO beautiful, I cried just now as I read it. Your words caressed my soul as I read the poem out loud. You have such a wonderful way with words, they touch the heart of the reader. I wish every young person could read this very powerfully penned poem, they would see older people in a whole new different light. Outstanding write! Kudos, dear John. I love it and am so grateful I shared it. A privilege to read, dear friend...

Thank you dear Butterfly. I appreciate the comment.
Kind and important words to many who lose their way or question the beauty of this life. Very reassuring words and beautiful lines. Making one believe how important they are to the earth to their family to themselves. Light of hope and trust in everyline. Thanks for such a spiritual share dear!

Thank you Aarti for reading and the comment. We need to lead with kindness, concern and listen.

Dear John, this is not a dear john letter but an acknowledgement of 1) how well you have been able to depict true love 2) what it feels like to be alive & to appreciate the experience 3) and the true meaning of empathy .. 4) number four was only added here because I have also known the ache left behind when my muse has gone walkabout .. 5) and because you have reminded me of what is important in this sad world today .. May love and friendship forever feature strong in the ink you leave here Johnnie C .. With much respect, your literary friend .. Neville
