Poetry for dear Cheryl..

Poetry for dear Cheryl..

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Trying to awake my sleeping mind.

"

Poetry for dear Cheryl..

1- We were leftover people and we became so damn lost.

We sought each other to seek and know comfort and

we didn’t know. We forgot kindness, we became ghost in a ugly world.

Now I drink alone, now I seek silence nights.

Now I dance alone and I remember you.

Our last words you spoke to me.

Only whiskey had not broke my heart, love had killed my soul.

I pray dear Cheryl.

You a found a better place.

2- One more glass of beer, one more shot of whiskey, we were.

We would hide in dark motels and

try to use up everything we had left.

I told her. Maybe we need silence, maybe we need more kisses?

I remember her glances of hello, I remember her glances of

demanding kisses. I wonder did I try to see her sadness?

Dear Cheryl, you taught me to want more.

You taught me to swim in delight and you taught me.

Life isn’t kind to us.

Very emotional and sad …. Relationships are difficult as you allude to this… it takes so much work, to make things right all the time…. Even when love is thick.. stuck together a beautiful tribute John, and I love the music as well

Well, regrets don't help, but they sure make themselves available in the afterward. It's a pity we seem unable to see them ahead of time.

I agree my friend. Things done. Can't be repaired. Maybe if we are lucky. We become wiser. Thank you.. read more
Sometimes we are the teacher and sometimes we are the student. A very beautiful tribute to your dear friend, sadly no longer with us, but I have no doubt she is with you in Spirit, dear Coyote. She left a heart-print in your life, she will always be close to you. You have beautiful memories to treasure until you both meet again in Spirit. Very finely penned and narrated. A wonderful story, sad but yet, filled with gratitude for the things your learned from Cheryl. It is so true that life is not always kind to us, therefore we must be kind to ourselves and honour our truth within us. Superb inking, dear friend. Thank you so very much for sharing...
