Whiskey drinking woman..

(April is poetry month. New poetry number twenty-three.)

1- Anymore, nevermore, forevermore.

Will we seek less? Will we seek more?

We play catch and release holding the whiskey glass,

so tightly.

2- The blood had dried, the wounds are healing.

Distaste become less, regret become a lesson.

Once friends, once lovers and now.

We are abandon memories and dead places.

Only the whiskey is our peroxide to kill the saddest memories.

3- After thoughts, you have become.

You were just a naysayer stealing from me.

I don’t need you my whiskey drinking woman no-more.

Once I believed in love and you taught me.

Love is just myth and tale.

We loan and we borrow till the love is dead and bury.

Love is for the lucky.

You and I are not the lucky.
