So cold.A Poem by Coyote PoetryApril is poetry month. New poetry number seventeen.(April is poetry month. My new poem number seventeen.) So cold... She came to me at midnight and she gave me whiskey kisses and kind words. I whispered to her. I need to taste your skin, I need to know you wild and not tamed. Please Peggy, please remind me. I need you still. She loved the whiskey kisses and she told me often. Love cost too much, I can’t pay the payment. I need you Johnnie. I am so cold tonight. I want us to become one and please make me forget how lonely I am. I told her. Please stay with me till we don’t need each other no-more. Please stay with me till our skin is content and we need more. Once we were babies 10 years ago and we held hope and dreams. Now we take and take till we need no-more. Tonight we are dirty with sin, tonight our bodies need hands and kisses on wanting skin. Once we were pretty with hope and today. We learn to seek comfort in the whiskey and loaned kisses. She told me. Johnnie, love be damned. We are the same. We loan and steal kisses. Please kiss my neck, please kiss my ears and please kiss my face. Please make me feel adored and needed. Make me believe I am the only one. We open the windows, we leave the lights on. We dance bare-a*s for the night. We have nothing to hide no-more. I told her. Dear Peggy. I am here for you when the night is cold and so damn lonely. Dancing Coyote © 2024 Coyote PoetryAuthor's Note
