Love on the rocks..

( April is poetry month. Poem number sixteen.)

1- Once we painted pictures and we needed each other. I told you on a Winter day.

Puzzles we are. We are trying to built. Each piece added to a memory, maybe a wish?

Puzzles can be beautiful, maybe puzzles can be happy and maybe puzzles can be sad.

2- On a Spring day. I asked Maria. What did we learn? Did we learn joy? Did you forget promises made and promises broken? Once we believed in forever and we learn. Forever is just another words, forever is just another lie spoken and now we learn. The puzzles is missing the important pieces. Love and kindness. Once we knew love and now we know. Silence.

3- On a Summer day. I told Maria. A blessed life is when a kind woman loved you. Please my dear Maria. Please hold my hands and remember us. Once babies in love. Now we became quiet and we accept too little. Please walk with me near the sea. Let’s drink the Gentleman Jack and dance for the goddess of the sea. Once we were midnight dances, kiss stealers and we painted a life filled hope and joy.

Now we drink the whiskey and we listen to the songs. Love on the rocks cannot stand alone. Two people must find common ground, common hope or the kind love could be forgotten.
