I need more barefoot days.A Poem by Coyote PoetryApril, poetry month new poetry number ten.I need more barefoot days… I want to remember a beautiful Summer day, I want to remember a sweet woman face, I want to remember a kind woman voice. I do remember her gentle hands on my skin and her warm and sweet kisses. I don’t remember how many times, I told her. I loved her so. I do remember us dancing near Lake Huron near Port Austin and we were dancing on the clouds of pleasure and joy. In sweet dreams still, I see us falling in long embrace and praying to the Lake Huron. For more good days together. I wonder do you remember me? Once I told you. I would never forget your love, I would never forget your kindness. I went to Port Austin and I stood barefoot in the cold May Lake Huron water. I remember you told me often. We need more barefoot days my love. I told the rising morning sun. I remember you, I remember everything. Coyote © 2024 Coyote PoetryAuthor's Note
