Twisted city, Part ten.
The people had gave Coyote and Beatrice room to escape. Paul hugged Coyote and he kissed Beatrice face-cheeks at the door. He thanks them for the wonderful day. Paul owned the book store for twenty years and now the book store. A safe haven for writers, poets and musicians to gather for free. He told Coyote. We have glad the dark poet is home and please come tomorrow for the Poetry reading. Beatrice squeezed his hand. Coyote told him. Me and Beatrice will be early. Have my triple espresso ready Paul. He told him. No problem John.
Tiffany watched the two men and woman talk at the door. She needed to know the who the writer was. After Beatrice and Coyote escaped into the city of Seattle. She went to Paul and she told him. The writer is amazing. Does he come here often? Paul turned to her and he told her. He is our Seattle legend. He does so much for the city and he wants nothing in return. She smiled and she asked him. Can I hear him read his work? Paul smiled and he told her. Tomorrow I am having our weekly Tuesday Poetry reading and Coyote promised to come. If you are lucky. He will show-up. He doesn't follow any schedules. If he does appear. He will lead the reading. The young and old poets/writers love him. Always kind and generous. Paul exclude himself to his work and he left her standing alone. She wrote down the Bookstore and time of the Poetry reading. She was very tired and she returned to her room to find sleep. She looked at her phone. 20 calls from the FBI and she told the phone. F**k you.
Coyote holding Beatrice right hand and she dragged him to the Seattle pier. She asked him.  How many times, did you and I go to Alcatraz? He laughed and he smiled. He told her. Maybe twenty times. You loved the boat ride to the Island the coldness of the prison cells. I remember you told me. One day, I will spend a week on the island and listen to the ghosts. Write the greatest book. I wish you did dear Beatrice. She brought his face near and she kissed him. She whispered. I am not as brave as you. You loved war, testing death and you love to dance with the Winter storms. I do tried to be like you. What are our plans on a Monday night in Seattle? He smiled and he told her. My favorite night. Open band night in many places in the city. We will find the best one. Drink and dance, till we cannot. She smiled and she told him. Let's seek and find some good food and tonight we sing, dance and drink. Till we cannot. They went to the pier restaurants and they ate a combination of seafood and fresh bread. She held his hands and he knew. She loved the silence and to hear, the Pacific Ocean sing to her. He fell in love with her, 15 years ago. She was a bright eyed gal who loved the books and the sea. She was born and raised in Boston and now she was Seattle reborn. He remember telling her of the Winter storms of Monterey and the Reflection lake at Mount Rainier. She demanded him to take her to both. He did. He remember her so happy, dancing alone, barely dressed and barefoot at Pfeifer beach at Big Sur. It made him smile. She asked him. John, why do you smile? He told her. I am remembering you at Reflection lake. You were like a child, running into the cold water and so damn happy. One of my best day Beatrice. I remember us at Pacific Grove on Kissing rocks and you were so happy. These are my best days and can we do more Beatrice. She held his hands tightly and she asked him. Can we drive to the Redwood National and state park on Wednesday. I want to see the trees of Mystery with you again. I didn't appreciate them enough when I was young. He told her. Your wishes, are my wishes. she reached over and she kissed him. She told him. A promise is a promise, you must keep. They finished their meals and they escaped into the city to find the open mic for the bands. Seattle became a hub for music and Beatrice was very content. They found the Skylark Cafe and eight of the Seattle best bands were playing. Beatrice and Coyote stayed till the end. They loved the music, they loved the drink and they danced like children. They walked home slow and easy. She told him. You promised some time and with tears in her eyes. Please stay, I am worrying. You won't come back to me. He took her into his arms and he told her. You are my home dear Beatrice. They find the apartment and they find the bedroom. Beatrice stripped and she fall on the bed. Her bare legs kicking to the sky. Coyote takes off his clothing and he joined her. She wrapped her arms around him and she asked. John, do you really love me? He caressed her like a cat, his fingers moving through her hair and touching her skin. He told her. I do love you Beatrice. They fell asleep quickly. Connected and content.
Coyote awake at 9 am and he dear Beatrice moving in the kitchen and he could smell the strong coffee. He goes to the bathroom, brush his teeth, shave and takes a long shower. He felt gentle hands on him in the shower. Beatrice wrapped her arms around him and she asked. I must leave soon. Most of my work is done early. I will see you at the Poetry reading. She released him and she escaped. He tried to grab her and he watched her bare a*s run to her bedroom. He loved Beatrice. She was the bravest woman he knew. She fear nothing and she loved nature and she loved the sea. She yelled into the bathroom. Coffee is ready and please don't waste your day. He dressed and he went to the kitchen. Drank the coffee slowly and he decided to roam the city of Seattle. Maybe find a cheesy pastry to go with the coffee. He wandered the city for five hours. Escaping into the new stores and found some fresh seafood at the pier. He loved the city of Seattle. Everybody is nice. They greed you as you pass them in the street. Everyone seem okay and happy with their life. He decided it was time, almost seven pm. He went to the Book store and Paul was waiting for him. He saw a small sign, written with. "COYOTE Poetry" will lead the poetry reading. Be ready to read and share." He asked Paul. Lucky I showed-up. Paul smiled and he told him. Beatrice guarantees your appearance and she made the sign. He laughed and he slapped Paul's back. He asked him where is my payment of a triple espresso? Paul left and he came back with the espresso. He told Coyote. We have missed you. He told Paul, I miss you and the city of Seattle too. Paul asked him. Can you run the show tonight? I have a list ready and room for more readers. He smiled and he told Paul. Would be my pleasure. Paul knew, no photos. He knew Coyote, didn't like photos and he ensured. No video would be made.
He sat alone eating a bagel and enjoying his espresso. The people left him alone and it would be a full house tonight. More people signed-up to read this night. He knew. Was a four hour event. Needed to use the time wisely. A three poem limit. He looked up and he saw a pretty women dressed in a Summer dress watching him. He knew she was the woman who chased him into the alley. Her eyes observed him with too much interest and she looked out of place. He liked her gentle face and demanding eyes. He got-up and he took a paper off the rack. The headline stated. Rapist killed in alley. He looked at the woman again. Five foot 10 inches tall, firm full body and strong pretty hazel eyes. she smiled at him and he returned her smile. He looked away, a little embarrassed. Tiffany decided to walk away from him and she needed to escape the case for a while. She went to the pier and she found a Irish Pub. She bought herself, a Long Island ice tea and she watched the evening Pacific ocean. Tiffany heard two young women talking about a poetry reading. She asked them. Where is the poetry reading tonight? They told her. At the Elliott bay. She loved to write in her college day. Her first true love was writing. She wished for the days when she was free of the craziness of the world. The women told him. Our world famous poet is here tonight. A rare treat for us. She decided to return to the book store. She arrived at the bookstore at almost 7 pm and it was really busy. She walked into the bookstore and all the tables will filled except one. She saw a man watching her and he waved her over. She went to him and he offered a chair. He told her. A long event, need to rest your feet. He offered his hand and he told her. My name is John Coyote. She took his hand firmly and she told him. My name is Tiffany. He said, good to met you dear Tiffany and I hope you enjoy the show. I am the so-call leader. Please stay and sit with me. My friend support to show up and she had to go to Tacoma tonight for some paperwork. She smiled and she told him. Thank you.
Coyote stood up and he went to the mic in the middle of the bookstore. He told the people. Thank you for showing-up and thank you for the 25 readers. I love the city of Seattle. We have the poetry, we have the music and we have the writers here in the city. We are blessed. My name is John Coyote and we shall begin. The 100 or so people clapped. He liked the positive feel of being surrounded by poets and writers. Tiffany watched him with great interest. She realized. Her serial killer could be a writer of a sort. One who travels everywhere. Coyote saw the fear in Tiffany eyes and he began to read five poems.

H e read the five poems and he smiled. Now my children, more fine poets. If we have time. I will read more later and remember. A three poem limit. The first writer will be. Sheila from Tacoma. The 100 plus people gave him a long ovation. Sheila came to the mic and she began to read her work. Tiffany kept her eyes on him and he went to her. He asked her. Did I do okay? She smiled and she told him. You were perfect and wonderful. After Sheila finished reading. He went and he told the people. Now we have Randy from Seattle. Randy started to read. Tiffany went and took two of John Coyote books off the nearby table. She returned and she started to read them. Her mind was twisting-up and she needed something to un-twist her mind. She was shaking and excited at the same time. She remembered his voice. Coyote asked her, when he returned. Are you okay Tiffany? she jumped and she looked in his eyes. He told her, I apology for frightening you. I am glad to had met you tonight and I like the two books. You must be a fan. I could use more always. She told him, my honor to have met you. They both laughed. Coyote introduced the 25 writers and the time was done. It was a good night. Many talented writers appeared tonight. He told the people in the bookstore. Thank you for coming and thank you kind poets for reading your amazing work. Many came to him and they talks a second. Tiffany had read the two books of poetry and story. He sat with her and he told her. I wrote most of my stories and poetry when I was young. Life had stole my muse. She looked sad and she asked. What took you muse away? He told her. The ugliness of the world did and why dear Tiffany are you in the city of Seattle? She told him. I am here for the sea and I love your poetry and story. It is real life and some romance. We need to live and we need romance. I lack both. Coyote asked her. It is 11 pm. What does Tiffany need to do tonight? She smiled. I need more Long Island Ice teas. He smiled. Me too.
