Nothing could stop me.A Poem by Coyote PoetryA old poem found. Written in the eighties.Nothing could stop me... Nothing could stop me from seeking you. A gentle Summer breeze caressed my face, warning me of a new journey to touch. Nothing could stop me from following you, walking near the small lake. Your long blond hair flowing in the wind and the gesture of your walk, pulling me closer to you. Not even the warning of my heart cold stop me. For when you turned and caressed me with your ocean blue eyes, so gentle. I lost control of my mind, I lost control of my heart. Not even the sweet love of another could make me walk away from you. For we already became twisted in a love, without one kiss. Nothing could stop me listening to the tenderness of your voice. We talked of great dreams and travel. Somewhere in our conversation, we made a verbal agreement of wanting more. Not all life is fair and we became one. Leaving tears for others to cry alone. I learn. Nothing last forever. Even the sweetest kiss can become bitter, even the greatest love story. May have a sad ending. Somehow we forget the sweetness of love and we learn. Nothing last forever. For when the heart is young, we don't know. Love is rare and so sweet. We allow our best days to become. Midnight wishes to repeat. Nothing last forever, except the memories. These become the poets and the writers lost places. Only remembered to pen and paper. Tonight I want nothing, but maybe again to be unafraid. In sweet dreams, I can still be the young coyote seeking love, dance and song. Dancing Coyote
