I feel your pain, John. I lost my older sister to the complications of asthma. Losing a sibling reminds us of our own mortality. She never had the privilege of growing old, so that is why living life to the fullest is of most importance to me. To make our loved ones proud. I am sorry for your loss. I hope you know your sister is always with you!

Thank you dear Kelly. Hard to lose the babies. You are right. We must enjoy every day of life.
I picture it like a story,
guilty as present,
the whisper, the girl who was trouble,
who got away,
enjoyed it very much,

Thank you for reading and the kind words. I appreciate the comment.
So poignant and tender with an ache that is almost palpable. How wonderful that you have such sweet memories to hold of her in your heart. Beautiful and sad, my friend.

Thank you Fabian. Hard to lose the young ones my friend.
The only certainty in the physical world is change, and change sometimes means loss. The loss in this work is a beloved younger sister, and we can feel the speaker's grief. The only compensation for her is that she had a brother who cared so much. R.I.P.
Those who we keep the most dearest to our heart always left a mark behind them. We pay the price. Price of love is sorrow. Sorrow's price is a memory and memory's price is a life. And without life we do not have memories and without them we do not have sorrow's and without sorrow's we do not have love. Love is everywhere and in everything. Every moment you breath her memory out, in life around you. So she is with you in your every breath.
As I take a part in your sorrow I hope I have given you a some thought of peace.
Take care.

Always here for a kind and most thoughtful friend. 💜
This is not exactly what I expected to read, but the effect was even sweeter.
What a lovely write for your sister.
What wild children you and your siblings must have been, but I am sure nonetheless lovable because of it.
Wonderful write, I am sure it would make your sister's heart swell with pride and love.
God bless you.

Thank you dear friend for reading and the kind words. I do appreciate.
This so poignant and a beautiful tribute to your baby sister who has left this life and has gone to a peaceful place. Every word in this poem portrays your pain and the reader can feel it too. This is so traumatic to lose someone younger than you, that you have taken care of, protected, and loved so dearly.....if she were here on this earth she would love to hear your words.
Best, B
