Our children.

Our children.

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Every child is a light of life.

"
Our children..

I gain another grandchild. She loved me already.
I have learn in my lifetime.
Love is life and everyone need a safe place to go.
I had wonderful grandparent who ensured, I knew.
I had a safe place to go to.
Now I am trying to be like them.
I have two grand-boys sleeping in my home tonight.
We had a pizza night and I know.
I am a lucky man.
I have love near and my house.
A place where love can grow.

Love grows in the strangest of places like life; struggling to overcome every obstacle. I have seen the brave daisy push its way up through solid concrete in the smoggy city to be unappreciated by feet that shuffle by. My children are my galaxy and my grandchildren their stars. I cannot always touch them or control them but I can appreciate their beauty and watch them grow and shine. It's difficult to be away from them when I can't hold them; I think that is the worst. But my heart expands to encompass their world so where my arms can't reach, I might become their universe.

Thank you dear Kelly and I do agree.
My grandparents took us in an adopted us when things didn't work out for my family and my mother became a single parent. It wasn't an easy dynamic for us or the rest of the greater family but the safety that was created had allowed us a place to grow in. That was before Y2K. Now in the 21st C, the family unit all over the globe is facing new challenges and crises. It is our turn to step up to the plate and create a safe place that addresses these newly arisen factors. Thanks for sharing this wonderful encouragement of a poem.

Thank you dear friend. We need the family back. We need family dinners and concern.
You are truly blessed Coyote. Congrats on another grandchild. She will bring you joy. Lovely you have two grand boys with you. Us grandparents have a strong supporting role in their lives. I had two of mine still under my roof last night and two of their friends too. Never a quiet moment . Have a good Sunday. I love this poem.
