For my father, Jack.

For my father, Jack.

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Our teachers teach us and one day. We must become the teachers.

"

The strong and the blessed..

Today I am a old man.

I lived in many places and I have lived many lives.

I was a businessman, I was a soldier and I was a father.

Now I am a grandfather.

In my lifetime,

I had great mentors,

great voices, who would not let me fail. Last year I loss a legend.

A man, who loved his family and he stood for the right things.

I asked God, please give me more time with my dearest friend,

needed this old man around for a while longer.

I know I was taught by the strong man, by a blessed man.

He taught me, have a wide open door for the family,

never speak negative words and lead with kindness.

We become old men,

we must become the safe house,

the kind voice.

Teach love and forgiveness.

Today I am thankful,

for my father, the time I spend with him.

We need our teacher, our kindest friend, our father, our grandfather to tell us.

We will be okay.

My dearest friend,
Such a wise and delightful read.
May I please say that you do not need a period at the end of
Our teachers teach us and one day.......
no period after day..
So it could read like this.
Our teachers teach us and one day we must become the teachers.
Just a better construction of that powerful line.
You do not need a comma after voices...
and not loss it should be lost...
I loved your wonderful words and only feel I really (as your friend) need to help you just a very little bit with grammar corrections..
Hope that is okay.
Hugs, Lisa

wise words coyote.
if ALL people had wise teachers who would take the time to impart their wisdom onto the next generation, then no one would have any depression issues or be mean to others.
have a great weekend

Thank you dear Sarah. We must remember our teachers.
A little longer, we wish, they would stay and yet, if we could, we would never let them go.
They teach us and nurture us and till they are upon this earth we are children.
When they leave the world then we become them, we take their place and the circle of life is complete.

My heartfelt regrets on your loss, my friend.
Your Father was a truly wonderful and special father and from your words I see how beautiful the human values of kindness and universal love he inculcated in you.
May he rest in peace always.
Thank you so much for sharing him with us today.
