Remember to forget- part two

Remember to forget- part two

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Can we escape our memory. No.

"
"I like the way your name
tastes in my mouth."
Green

Remember to forget.

1- Regards to a old memory.
Once your name, made me smile.
Once your sweet voice. Made me know joy.
Once we knew the taste of love.

2- Drinking alone,
dancing alone.
Praying alone and
wishing to be, not alone.

3- My dearest love,
you became my bone-yard prayer.
Once love captured,
now dispersed into the storm of life.

4- Once we held a wild and free love.
Once we danced for the sea and
now I dance alone.
my only friend left, the damn whiskey.

5- Please pretty lady,
forgive me what I will do.
I am weighted down with poor memories.
You can't save a man, who do not want to be saved.

I am honored to know that I could motivate anyone else to write. That's a very high compliment.

It is somewhat bittersweet that so often our happy memories can also become some of our sad ones. I often find myself holding on to the hope, though, that by making something good out of it in writing maybe it'll all be somehow worth it.

dearest John... many people have love affairs, as though they were composing Music.
They seem to Dance to Romance as though Life were a Stage in a Theatre. You write Poetry
as a Play to be performed in a Theatre.... at least some of your Poetry. It keeps me Young at Heart.
Tenderly, Pat

Thank you, dear Pat. I appreciate the comment my dear friend.
the line bone yard prayer is worth the price of admission to this gem. An amazing metaphor. I'll ask in advance, may i borrow at some point in time, promise to treat it with utmost respect
