A goodbye kiss..

A goodbye kiss..

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Some mini-poetry. Maybe the whiskey thoughts?

"
A goodbye kiss..
1- I have forgotten more than I can remember.
I do remember a blond hair girl who told me in 1977.
I am you girl and please never forget me.
2- Dust and ashes we shall become one day, I told the stars.
And I told the night,
please don't allow me to become forgotten.
3-  She bathe in her bubble bath,
her feet dancing above the water and
she told me. Please read me a love poem of forever.
4- Us, who did treason in love.
We will linger in things lost and
we will accept the misery of being alone in the night.

Yes, dust and ashes we shall become some day. It's written into the contract. Still, certain memories can help numb the sting of it, like the one recorded in this offering. I am curious, though, about the mention of "treason in love." Was someone, like a spouse, betrayed? I don't pick up any guilt feelings here, unless "being alone in the night" is the penalty for doing something forbidden.

Thank you dear Sharon for reading and the comment. In old age. We need reminders.
