I will put a spell on you.

I will put a spell on you.

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

July poetry number 10. I do love Bonnie Tyler. One of the great voices.

"
I will put a spell on you...
1- Baby sweet, baby so damn wild.
Where are you escaping to tonight?
You told me you loved me as you walked out the door.
I bought some herbs from the Witchy woman next door.
The Witchy lady told me. Free and wild woman.
A rare thing to know and love.
I prepared the potion and I remembered you.
I remember you dancing bare-a*s for the Big Sur sea,
I remember your smile, your needs in the midnight hours.
I tossed the herbs into my my garden and
I told the night.
Please one more night with my baby sweet, my baby, so damn wild.
2-   We can soar into the cloud like the free birds
and we can stand in the clouds on the great mountains.
We can touch the sun at dawn, we can kiss the moon at dust.
We decide our beginnings and our ending.
We can seek great beauty of nature
or accept less.
We must teach the children well.
Teach them, they can do anything they want to do.
Maybe we could be like the children?
Believe we can do anything we want to do still.
3-  Shred the shadow of yesterday.
Allow today to be your best day.
Make every new day, like a April Spring day.
Allow our mind and heart to grow like the flowers of Spring.
Be strong, be beautiful and create new photos for the heart.
Create perfect days to be remembered
Coyote

Shred the shadows of yesterday...think ahead..we can soar into the clouds like free birds, wild woman; we can teach the young ones to be able to do anything they can aspire to. a wild woman who loves me shouldn't walk out the door. so many new things to think about..."create perfect days to be remembered"..
Lovely verses John, soft and gentle.

I too am all for soaring like a bird through the clouds
I often lay out in the middle of the field and enviously watch them swoop and whirl.
It is the swallows I enjoy the most as they pick bugs out of the sky.
All very nicely done

Thank you, Dave, for reading and the comment. Would be nice to be a Hawk. Open sky and the boss.
I love the second stanza especially the second line, I remember doing that with my husband, it brought back really great memories. Standing in the clouds in the mountains, it feels like heaven, wet, but heavenly. You have a lovely way of expression, I do enjoy reading your work. The ending was sublime!
